The survey happens before the quote
Bretco doesn't quote a generator off a phone call. The first step is a free in-home survey, an electrician walks the property, looks at the panel and what the house or business actually needs to keep running, and prices the job from that, not from a brochure.
Standby generator prices have come down over the years, enough that a whole-house unit is a realistic option for a lot of homeowners who assumed it was out of reach. The survey is the way to find out what yours would actually cost, with no obligation attached to it.

Sized to the house, not off a shelf
A generator that's undersized will shed circuits the homeowner actually wanted to keep running; one that's oversized is money spent on capacity nobody needed. Bretco sizes each unit to the specific home or business, small properties and large ones alike, based on what came out of the survey.
That sizing conversation covers the essentials first, then works outward to whatever else the budget and the property can support, so the homeowner knows exactly what stays on and what doesn't before the unit ever gets ordered.

For a piece of equipment that's supposed to work exactly once, in the middle of a storm with the power already out, that maintenance relationship is most of the value. A generator nobody has serviced in years is a bet, not a backup.
